It was the long awaited Skandalo Nacional 2 festival, presented by Pure Underground, that brought many loyal fans together for a night of ska music. This night was full of energy with performances by local and international bands. With so many great acts, its hard to say who the headliner was, as many of these bands have a huge following of their own. I headed to Vacilios nightclub in Downey this past Saturday. I like to hang there when I need to Salsa at a chill place with good Cosmos. I used to also go because ladies were free before 11:00 p.m, now there charging us too just like the gentelmen, what’s up with that? DJ Luis Pachanga is jamming out there on Saturdays, which makes it easy to tear the floor up. I’ve welcomed the change in music. The scene is a lil’ outdated, but Mario the bartender and DJ LP make up for that….
