Fania Records opens its vaults to famous New York House/Dance/Ambient DJ Joaquin “Joe” Claussell and his six-piece band, giving them leeway to remix and create a new vibe for classic recordings by such Latin funk/salsa/merengue greats as Mongo Santamaria, Ray Barretto and Celia Cruz.
Palenke Soultribe shares the stage with a mix of electronica, pop, rock and Colombian folk sounds, all driven by turntables and looped laptop grooves.
parking and location: parking is located at 351 S. Olive St. Los Angeles, CA 90013 – just under California Plaza. The driveway is on your right as you’re headed south on Olive, just under the overpass right before 4th. Park your car then hop in an elevator to the Plaza level and let your ears guide you the rest of the way. Parking is $7.50 after 5pm (cash only).
