Visionary Sounds was a brilliantly eclectic showcase of Latin music placed against the stunning backdrop of downtown Los Angeles. The two venues for music (La Cita and Bang Art Gallery) being a 2 block walk from each other made for an interesting transition between acts. Charanga Cakewalk opened with invitingly danceable Latin beats on a cool summer night in MacArthur Park. As the sun set the crowd grew as more people began to trickle in and enjoy the great music coming from the stage. Some hanging out in lawn chairs others taking a seat on the bare grass. After urging the crowd to dance and enjoy the music the band had some small groups of dancers start to form throughout the crowd. Bomba Estereo, Clorofila at the Getty – July 24, 2010

Bomba Estéreo put on an explosive performance at The Getty center. Their blend of latin rock, electronica, rap and cumbia captivated all in attendance young and old. With many loyal fans in attendance, the large court yard became small as hundreds gathered, danced and jumped throughout the performance. Clorofila, member of the original Nortec Collective got the crowd started with a earlier dance music set.
